893 Broadway is located at 19^th and Broadway, the convergence of Flatiron and Union Square, within one of the busiest shopping districts in Manhattan. When L3 acquired the property in 2015, the 4-story building was occupied by a restaurant and hotel. After the tenants vacated, L3 performed a very complex historic adaptive reuse to convert the hotel into a 5-story mixed-use retail and office building. The redevelopment included a historic restoration of the original 1800’s cast-iron facade, the addition of a 5th floor penthouse with two rooftop patios, all new building systems and vertical transportation, new windows, luxurious office finishes, and modern ground floor retail space. Upon completion in 2019, L3 leased the entire office portion of the building to Chief, a private women’s professional network, to establish their corporate headquarters.
